BIBLE 101 Contact: David York. Meets in the Fellowship Hall
This class provides a basic introduction to the world of the Bible, highlighting broad themes, major
characters, and key stories in each book. For those with a limited background in Bible study or those who want a refresher course.
BIBLE 202 Contact: Gerrell Moore. Meets in the Library
The class uses Smyth & Helwys curriculum as a basis for lively discussions in an environment of close
Christian fellowship, where everyone feels free to contribute.
CONTEMPORARY ISSUES Meets once a month in the Atrium
The Contemporary Issues Class has decided to meet once a month, inviting guest speakers to lead discussions on relevant issues of the times. During the other Sundays of the month, members are encouraged to congregate with other Sunday School Classes. This month on Jan. 10th the speaker will be Charlie Jackson with Texans for Peace, speaking about Christian Peace Keeping teams and his recent trip to Iraqi Kurdistan.
GAP CLASS (GRADUATES AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS) Contact: Beka Falk. Meets in the College Lounge
This class focuses on the study of scripture and
translating that study into a personal identity with the scripture through prayerful reflection of the texts.
APOCRYPHA: THE OTHER BIBLE STORY Contact: Roy Larson. Meets in the Maddry Center
Did you know there were dragons in Israel? You've heard of Masada, but only from the movies? Read through and discuss the Apocrypha and Deuterocanonical books beyond the Minor Prophets. We'll be looking at the history in between and the teachings from the books that are not included in all Bibles.
JOHN 21:25 Contact: Paul Taylor and Joe Bell. Meets in the Archives room
This class is perpetually in the process of redefining itself as the members share their personal journeys of faith. Recurring points of interest include the arts (particularly writing and film), contemporary visions of the church (especially as applied to UBC), and the reemergence of Gnosticism.

Infants and toddlers have childcare in the Kids’ Place during Sunday School, where they begin to learn the foundations of faith and feel God’s love.
YOUNGER CHILDREN (PRE-K - 1ST GRADE) Contact: Gina Bethune and Kara Bishop. Meets in the Blue Room of the UBC Kids’ Place
Children in Pre-K through 1st grade meet immediately following breakfast in the Blue Room of the UBC Kids’ Place to learn about God through the Godly Play curriculum.
OLDER CHILDREN (2ND GRADE - 5TH GRADE)

Children in 2nd through 5th grade meet immediately following breakfast in the Pink Room of the UBC Kids’ Place to learn about God through scripture readings, missions, discussion, theatre, and art.
YOUTH (MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL) Contact: Brent Bowden. Meets in the Youth Lounge
Middle school and high school students meet after breakfast in the Youth Lounge, where youth
minister Amelia Fulbright engages them in dynamic conversations about relationships with God and others.
COLLEGE MINISTRY Contact: Brent Bowden. Meets in the College Lounge
All college students, from undergrads to Ph.D. candidates, are welcome after worship to a free lunch and time of study with college minister Amelia Fulbright. Although we are right across from UT, we welcome students from any college!
